Caminito del Rey King's Path
Defy vertigo
El Caminito del Rey is a breathtaking aerial walkway located in the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes Natural Park in the province of Malaga, Andalusia, Spain. Originally built in the early 20th century to facilitate the passage of workers between hydroelectric power stations, this historic path has been restored as a safe and fascinating route for nature lovers, hikers, and adventure seekers.
Stretching for several kilometers, the Caminito del Rey offers spectacular views of gorges, rock faces, and the Guadalhorce River from suspended walkways that are almost 100 m high. Although once considered one of the most dangerous trails in the world, following its restoration in 2015 it now features modern safety and control structures to ensure an unforgettable and accessible experience for visitors from all over the world.
The route is complemented by visitor centers, parking lots, and internal transportation services, as well as being part of a protected natural environment with rich biodiversity. Plan your visit in advance, as tickets tend to sell out quickly.
