Pompidou Center Málaga
Modern and Contemporary Art
The Centre Pompidou Málaga opened its doors in 2015 and is the first international branch of the famous French museum, the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Located in the port of Málaga, the center is housed in the building known as El Cubo, a multicolored glass structure designed by artist Daniel Buren that has become one of the city’s cultural landmarks.
The museum presents a selection of modern and contemporary artworks from the Centre Pompidou’s collection, one of the most important in the world. Its semi-permanent and temporary exhibitions include works by key artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as photography, design, architecture, film, and new forms of artistic expression.
In addition to the exhibitions, the center organizes workshops, lectures, performances, and educational activities aimed at all audiences, with a special focus on young people and families. Thanks to its multidisciplinary programming and its prime location overlooking the sea, the Centre Pompidou Málaga has established itself as one of the city’s main cultural attractions.
